How to Install a Wheel Bearing Race on a Rotor
How to install a wheel bearing race and seals is a simple process that should take 5 minutes.
This should be done every time you do a front brake job on a car that has this style of hub.
This process is basically the same when installing new bearings on any system.
Check out the video on how to replace a wheel bearing race on a rotor here:
Tools you will need.
Hammer
Chisel or Home Made Chisel
Wheel bearing race & Seal Driver (Matco BRS10)
Make sure you replace the wheel bearing races before you resurface the rotor.
Lay the rotor on a piece of wood.
Using your chisel, chisel out the race by hitting the lip of it.
Flip over the rotor and set the new race in place.
Take a race installer that fits the race and hammer in the new race.
Make sure it drives in evenly. You will know it is installed all the way in when the hammer makes a ping noise.
Do the same on the other side.
